Since last fall, I've been working on a couple of liturgical pieces for the church
I attend. The first one is about gratefulness. It is three grids of silk fabric suspended from a metal ringed structure.
It hangs in the sanctuary. The congregation was invited to write what they were grateful for on paper leaves which were
tied to the grid. Each week for two months, leaves were added filling in the grid. In the future the piece will hang
in the sanctuary during the summer months.
BAM Submission Update
Last December, I submitted a proposal to the Bellevue Art Museum's Biennial. I learned in early March that my proposal was
not chosen. There was a lot of competition. I will try again the future.
